Stabilizing Grain Yield and Nutrition Quality in Purple Rice Varieties by Management of Planting Elevation and Storage Conditions

Purple rice has become an interesting source of nutritional value among healthy cereal grains. The appropriate cultivation together with post-harvest management would directly benefit farmers and consumers. This study aimed (i) to determine the yield, grain quality, antioxidant capacity purple varieties grown at lowland highland elevations, (ii) evaluate effects storage conditions on stability during six months storage. high anthocyanin PES variety in lowlands had a higher yield than plants highlands, but concentration opposite pattern. In KAK variety, DPPH activity were not significantly different between two elevations. brown vacuum-sealed packages both found preserve greater concentrations PES, there was no effect KAK. properties 4 °C room temperature. suggests that optimal practices result quality varieties.
